This places view is breath-taking and loved the private beach. The patio with the view was our favorite hangout, and when having dinner in the dining room the view was endless. Loved the time spent and would highly recommended for friends or family trips. Very special place.

This is the best place in our trip. The view in the kitchen and living room is breathtaking. The house is clean and well maintained. We also didn’t expect so many things provided. Would definitely want to come back if possible.

Loved our stay! The ocean view was stunning and the private beach was just perfect for a small family getaway. Everything we needed was there, and the rooms were super quiet. The host replied fast and was really helpful. The place has a bit of vintage vibe, but honestly, it just adds to the charm!

David is the best! He was super helpful and his home is beautiful! It was so easy for us to relax and have some down time. Having no phone service was probably the best part but the wifi was amazing so we were able to send iPhone messages. The view was immaculate. The house was pristine. The amenities fantastic; he had everything we needed! Just a heads up, high tide comes up to the rocks twice a day (Check the tide times). But there’s a beautiful beach just a couple minutes down the way when the tide was too high. Low tide was perfect and we could walk quickly to the beach out back. We forgot somethings in the house after check out and Dave was great and helped us get them back. Perfect place for a family get away! We will definitely be coming back!!

The house is beautiful. Honestly exactly what we needed. Incredibly relaxing and well laid out. We had a good sized group and there was plenty of space. We did not want for anything so much was provided by the host. The beds were cozy and the location was incredible. Worth nothing that if your party includes folks with mobility challenges that you have to go downstairs to get to the property. And the main bedrooms are also downstairs. Once you are in the main floor has a bed and access to most amenities and is really lovely.

Beautiful place, clean, nicely furnished, comfy beds, very spacious, stunning view from the kitchen and living room. The private beach area in front was nice. Parking in the street was never an issue, we always found a spot. My family had a great time here. It is definitely pretty far from the main downtown area, but the few nearby places that we walked to were great. The kitchen was mostly well stocked with everything you need...with one exception. I never seemed to be able to find the cooking utensil I most needed. It was missing the basics...wooden spoons and a flexible turning spatula. Other than that, it had it all. We would definitely come back!

We had an incredible stay at Oceanside! The house was beautiful and had all we needed to cook and entertain kids. They really do think of everything! We want to come back again! We had no problems. We saw so many different animals and sealife. The kids had a blast boogey boarding, we are close enough to restaurant's and shopping. It was fantastic!!

Fantastic oasis directly on the beach. David's place was just what we needed to celebrate a family event The multiple living areas provided plenty of space for us to spread out. The kitchen was very well stocked with everything we needed to make delicous meals together. The multiple outdoor spaces were great to hang out in. The beds were very comfortable-not too hard, not too soft. Would highly recommend David's place.

We had an amazing time at the house. The waves lullabies you to restful sleep. We enjoyed our coffee on the balcony, and drinks in the evening by the bonfire. If you want a relaxing time, I would recommend this location. I would book it again! Thank you David

The place was as described and better. It show pictures of the views but it is hard to describe the sounds of the waves and the fresh sea breeze that you get to experience. We enjoyed waking up and seeing dolphins swimming by among the surfers. Great place for a family getaway. Thanks for sharing this place with us.

This duplex (doesn’t feel like a duplex or isn’t what you’d typically think of when duplex is the describing word) was perfection! Pictures don’t do it justice! We didn’t want to leave and are hoping to book again. It was everything you could hope for from an Airbnb! A million thanks to our host for how he runs this place. The pictures don’t do it justice! Absolutely gorgeous views, beautiful house and in a great area. Surrounded by restaurants and very close to the pier. My favorite Airbnb by far that we have stayed in to date!

The house was modern with all the amenities that made it feel just like home. The view is amazing. The private beach in front the house was the perfect size. The house is perfectly planned to give everyone their separate areas, yet the living areas are large enough to have everyone together. The 2 separate living rooms gives you the space needed if on a work trip with a co-worker, or need a separate place for the kids to gather. I don’t write reviews, but for this place, I had to write one. I have been to many Air BnB’s, this one by far was one of the best.

I rented this spot for a weekend so that I could have a place to spoil my staff with my company holiday party. It was beautiful, spacious, and very spoiling. David was a delight to work with. I would recommend this place to others, however I want it all to myself. Very cool.

Beautiful view!!! Super comfy, spacious and the kitchen is amazing. Coffee at the patio and Dinner at the table with the ocean in the back is truly something special. David is a great host and was extremely helpful and communicative. My only complaint would have to be not knowing that the beach access was unaccessible due to the sink hole that had spilled over from the neighbors. But other then that amazing 😊

You cannot beat the beautiful panoramic view of the ocean from the upper level! The kitchen area is quite spacious, and we were very comfortable in the living room watching football on the big screen TV. We also loved the covered patio as it was not ideal weather during our weekend. Overall, it was a great experience, and we appreciated the opportunity to stay in such an extraordinary place! SPECIAL NOTE: If you are traveling with young children and you are looking for a beach play area, you might ask Dave about his other fabulous property in Oceanside. Currently, the seawall has collapsed next-door to this property and would create quite a hazard for curious little ones. There is no direct beach access at this time.

David was very friendly and responsive to any issues or questions we had. The space is amazing and our group had a truly relaxing and wonderful time. You can’t get any closer to the pacific ocean than this!

My family and I had an amazing time. We loved the place.

The property was clean and very tastefully decorated. There were lots of stairs. The view was wonderful. There had been lots of damage to the beachfront from winter storms. The HVAC did not work on our arrival, but the owner had it repaired immediately. He also delivered a new firepit to us since the storm damage had rusted the previous one. The owner was readily available for any questions we had and responded promptly. The beds were comfortable and there were plenty of towels.

Great sunset views!

Dave and his wife are amazing hosts and the property is awesome. We used it as Grandparents home base for our daughter's H.S. graduation. The kitchen is a chef's dream (the hood/exhaust fan doesn't work - so we stationed a grandkid under the smoke detector to wave a towel at it when it went off) and had all the pots/pan and things you need! Watching the grandmother's make struddle and pies was a great family memory. Unfornately for us, the neighbors oceanfront is collapsing right next to the house and there's warning tape and concrete and rocks in disarray. It's a testament to the power of the ocean and the constant battering of the retaining system. As an engineer, I'd love to see them rebuild it. Dave stopped by and dropped off a "firestarter" for the firepit and the grandkids cooked smores and had a blast. Location = 8/10 Kitchen = 8/10 (1 point deduction for hood) Bedrooms = 8/10 Oceanfront view = 6/10 (2 point deduction for collapsing neighbor) Celluar Coverage = 5/10 (turn on wi-fi calling) Hosts = 9/10 Family memories for daughter's HS graduation = 10/10 Thanks to Dave for sharing this gem with us! I have two boys with special needs. I wanted to go on vacation with the beachfront so I can sit down and watch them play in the sand. My experience with the Host 0 out of 10 we are arrive there on the 22nd prior to that in March. I had messaged him if they got affected by the storm and I was told no because the reason why I ask because I have boys with autism special need I wanted to make sure it’s safe for my boys to play in the sand. Guess what we arrive there May 22 the stairs are gone. There is no beach no private beach!!! hopefully I’m able to add pictures so everyone can see it also last day before our trip ended. I had a message to host asking if I can get a partial refund. he said in the message I’m coming over to your house you need to come outside. My husband said don’t go outside, but I did. I wanted to know what he was going to say as soon as he saw me he started going off on me yelling at me!! I felt very threatened by this man.

This Location was great and it is by the ocean without a beach like we thought it would be in the picture or the description. Also in the description " we are happy to meet you at the property upon arrival to show you around" never happened. "I will reach out prior to your check in date" never happened. We literally left a message inbox the day before check in with 2 messages no response.Finally we Had to call the owner the day of check in. We checked in and this place was stunning with big glass over looking the ocean. The place was perfect for our families to relax and help us Mourn with deaths in the family. We finally settled down on our first night until we realized there was someone living upstairs above the kitchen area because they kept moving heavy furnitures days and nights literally. We called the owner immediately to let them know our concerns since they live nearby they say. Owner was aware and never once apologize for the inconvenience nor checked up on us or the property. The noise never stopped. This was the worst experience of our life. It literally ruin our vacation. Bad service, no support, no compassion, Just after the Money. Until now we still have not heard from the owner or owners. Pls beware also those pics are taken from 2020 I think. Definitely false advertisement under construction, no beach access at all, waves are always high.

Excellent place to stay right in the beach! David offered earlier check-in as no tenants were there day prior! Such a treat!! My family loved it!

The view was nice, but we had some issues during our stay. The garage was not functioning properly, but the hosts fixed that right away. I was very impressed. The listing states that there is a travel crib and high chair, but there are none. This listing is NOT a good choice if you have kids under ten. The binder is outdated, and led to some rude interactions with our host. They offered to let us check out later to make up for it, but we checked out early anyway. The knives in the kitchen were dirty, and the fan in one of the bedrooms wasn't functioning. We discovered this after our rude interactions with the host, and didn't feel comfortable discussing it with them. It seems like the rental has a diy construction feel to it. It was a nice place, but not a place that I would recommend staying in at this price point.

Great place to stay and super clean. Took out three kids and dog with us and they loved the place. They provided everything needed to have a weekend on the beach and not have to leave if you don’t want to. Beautiful ocean views including some dolphin viewing from the comfort of the patio.

My family and I had so much fun staying here! We really enjoyed the view and comfortable living space! The beds weren’t the most comfy and there’s an alarm in one of the rooms downstairs that goes off very loudly next to the bed that’s for a septic tank and it woke a baby up that was staying in that room with it’s parents. But that was the only issue! Everything else was fantastic! I would definitely come back again!

This is a luxury villa that is comfortable and well appointed. The beds are really comfortable and there is everything you need in the kitchen. Close to downtown Oceanside Pier and Carlsbad Village so you can't go wrong in any direction you head out. Do you like the ocean? Well...it's right there for you to enjoy! Dave is a really great host and makes sure you are comfortable.

The place is a luxury villa right on the water with many things that you would need to have a get away holiday by the beach. David was super responsive. We had a couple of issues and he was there to support and offer solutions. The view and sunsets are incredible, and the place is nicely equipped to enjoy cooking and having a stay in holiday with friends and families. We would def go back.
